BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans has turned most of his show over to Erasure this morning. After finding similarities between the vocals on the new Matt Cardle single and those by Andy Bell he rediscovered Erasure and played a couple of their songs. As a result the station received a flood of texts and calls praising Erasure causing Chris Evans to play not one but two medleys of Erasure hits, and having Andy Bell join him live on the telphone.

ERASURE - Chris Evans BBC Radio 2

As part of the show Chris played Sometimes, Chains of Love, Victim of Love, A Little Respect, Oh L’Amour, Stop!, SOS, Lay All Your Love On Me, Blue Savannah and Love To Hate You!

You can find out more about the show on the link below and you can LISTEN AGAIN if you’re in the UK…

There’s also talk of Erasure playing at Chris Evans’ Carfest Festival next year as well as some sort of Children In Need special show…

Happy Erasure day everyone! 🙂
