Andy Bell will be among the guests appearing at this year’s Common People Prom, a fundraising event which raises money for the homeless charity Crisis.

The Common People Prom is described as a ‘massaoke’ event, and features a live band playing pop, indie and rock anthems for the crowd to sing along to, sometimes led by celebrity supporters.

Andy will lead the crowd in one or two ‘massaoke’ renditions of Erasure hits alongside other personalities including Happy Mondays’ Bez, pianist James Rhodes, comedians Sara Pascoe and John Robins, West End star Maggie Queen Of Soho, and singers David McAlmont and Nadine Shah.

The Common People Prom will take place next Tuesday September 15th at Camden Town’s Electric Ballroom and tickets and more information are available from the event website.
