The Huffington Post writes; 'Check out this new video from Erasure for their classic hit, "A Little Respect." All funds from the video and song will be donated to The Hetrick-Martin Institute, the nation's oldest and largest LGBTQ Youth Service Organization. The Hetrick-Martin Institute provides a safe and supportive environment to all young people regardless of race, genre and sexual orientation.
Erasure wanted to do something a little extra to spread light on this inspiring message of tolerance and to help raise money for an organization that is on the front line for gay and human rights.
The video was filmed in New York City in the West Village and features a youth chorus from The Hetrick-Martin Institute as well as some other famous faces you might recognize (ahem...hello Precious, get your groove on!) Directed by filmmaker Jason Stein, the original version for "A Little Respect" was released in 1998 on the record The Innocents, the first Erasure record to hit #1 in the UK.'

ERASURE RETURN WITH TOTAL POP! TOUR FOR FOREST CONCERTS 2011
6 December 2010
After more than four years away from recording and live performance, Erasure have announced a Total Pop! tour, a series of dates for summer 2011 playing their hits as part of Forestry Commission Live Music, where acts perform in spectacular woodland locations across the country. The Total Pop! tour will coincide with the release of Erasure's brand new album, planned for release in summer 2011.
Commenting on the tour, Erasure's Andy Bell said, "This wonderful opportunity to perform for the fans in such a unique backdrop feels like just the right way to jump back in to Erasure after a four year break. We're excited to be playing in the woods and really hope it doesn't rain."
Formed 25 years ago, the award-winning duo of Vince Clarke and Andy Bell unleashed on the nation a succession of both influential and chart-topping pop anthems of the '80s, '90s through to today. Songs like 'A Little Respect', 'Sometimes', 'Victim Of Love', 'Ship Of Fools', 'Blue Savannah', 'Star', 'Chains Of Love', 'The Circus', 'Who Needs Love (Like That)', 'Love To Hate You', 'Drama!', 'Always' and 'Breathe', ensured a formidable presence on the singles charts complemented by five consecutive number one albums including 'The Innocents', 'Wild!', 'Chorus' and the beginning of the worldwide Abba revival 'Abba-esque'.
From Lady Gaga to La Roux, the futurist, electronic sound Erasure championed is more relevant today than ever, and once again re-charging the global music scene. Clarke's swirling synths and Bell's angelic vocals offer both a contrast and complement to the ancient and bucolic forests in which they will perform. These shows will provide a magical environment for Erasure to deliver their fantastic, phantasmagoric entertainment.

ERASURE - A LITTLE RESPECT (HMI REDUX)
5 December 2010
Erasure have announced the release of a brand new version of their top 5 single, A Little Respect – HMI Redux, out on 5 December 2010 (7 December in the USA). A colourful new video for the track, shot in New York City and featuring Erasure lead singer Andy Bell, HMI youth and many other passers-by, will be released as well.
Proceeds from the track will be donated to The Hetrick-Martin Institute, the home of the Harvey Milk High School, in New York, and the True Colors Fund. The Hetrick-Martin Institute, the nation’s oldest and largest LGBTQ youth service organization, provides a safe and supportive environment to all young people – regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity so that they can achieve their full potential.
In the wake of all the gay bullying and related suicides that have been reported in the US over the past several months, Erasure wanted to do something special to spread a message of tolerance and to raise money for an organisation that engages in the fight on a daily basis and, because it has become something of a gay rights anthem over the years, it seemed only fitting to release a brand new version of A Little Respect.
The HMI Redux features a youth chorus from the Hetrick-Martin Institute who also appear in the music video, directed by filmmaker Jason Stein.
The original version of A Little Respect, released in 1998, featured on The Innocents, the first Erasure album to hit the UK #1 spot (first on 30th April 1988 and again in January 1989), a chart-topping position they revisited with each of their next four album releases.
In over two decades together, Andy Bell and Vince Clarke (a founding member of Depeche Mode and Yazoo) have sold more than 20 million albums around the globe, proving themselves masters of every kind of song from disco symphonies to unplugged ballads.
