Mute Records have all sorts of exciting Erasure projects in the pipeline, and to help them to make those releases the very best they can be for Erasure's fans we have set up a special ONLINE POLL to find out what YOU consider most the important elements to include in a special edition album release.
THE POLL IS NOW CLOSED - THANK YOU EVERYONE!
The Erasure Shop's series of special offer weeks comes to a close this week at Lexer Music with half price on a selection of Erasure mugs and snowglobes. The offer will run for one week only so click on the image below to go to go and have a look...
Andy Bell was in the US recently promoting the release of 'Total Pop!' with a DJ slot at Jeffrey Sanker's White Party where he did a video interview with Pepper Mashay for the Pride Nation website which you can see here (the interview is in the site's video player, just scroll down to the clip 'Pepper Mashay interviews Andy Bell').
Andy was also mentioned in loads of White Party coverage, including small mentions in ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, NBC NEW YORK, GAY WIRED, GAY PARTY BLOG, SAN DIEGO EXAMINER, and the WASHINGTON DC EXAMINER.
Following the recent release of 'Total Pop!', on 4th May Mute will be making 'Pop!' And 'Pop2!' available as two individual discs.
Before the forums fill up with cries of disbelief that Mute are trying to sell the fans the same package in different clothes and high heels, these are being released simply so that different retailers - those who wouldn't normally stock the standard or deluxe 'Total Pop!' - will stock the albums at a reasonable price.
Mute have always wanted to keep the original 'Pop!' available, as it has become such an iconic release for the band, and which won't, in the long term. be replaced by 'Total Pop!' It would be nice to also think that some people who originally bought 'Pop!' might just want to have 'Pop2!' rather than 'Total Pop!'.
So, we are just letting you know about these releases. We can't stop you buying them, but we just wanted to be clear that we are not encouraging you to buy something you already might have... save your money for some special Erasure releases later in the year!

Last week Andy played a 60-minute DJ set at the White Party in Palm Springs, California and spent some time with Lady GaGa, who was also on the bill (if you look closely at the pictures you can see she's clutching a copy of 'Total Pop!' autographed for her by Andy!). Thanks to Tyler Jensen for the pictures.
